this project is an attempt to return to

my childhood.


in stark contrast to the abandon and joy i felt as a young dancer, my art making has recently been stymied by the pressure to create something incredibly masterful





in the effort to allow my childlike love to resurface, i am here to embody what

my mentors have long told me:


it doesn't matter what you make as long as you are making with integrity.




in 2017, i will be releasing one

video per month.


i will work alone as well as with other artists who share the idea that the making of art can be an instrument for healing.



i am interested in the use of art (both as a maker and a viewer) as a personal, social, and political healing tool.


in that spirit, i invite you to share your thoughts and feelings as the project unfolds.

Katrina began dancing at a young age. She moved from Evanston, IL, to Philadelphia in 2009 to study and receive her degree in Dance from the University of the Arts. She creates full-length performances, dance works (both solo and group), short films, as well as fiber and paper art.
